ib vogt GmbH and its subsidiary vogt solar ltd commissioned eight solar farms with a total capacity of 132.4 MWp in the first quarter of 2015 in the United Kingdom.
All the solar farms were connected on time for the UK “1.4” ROC policy incentive deadline for ground mounted solar systems. All the projects have been purchased by institutional investors.
The solar farms are forecast to generate over 133 GWh per annum of renewable electricity in total, enough to power the equivalent of more than 32,000 average homes and to save over 1.65 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) over their 25-year lifetime. The sites, all highly optimised and incorporating state-of-the-art technology and top quality engineering and components, are as follows:
• Pashley in Sussex: 11.6 MWp
• Crundale extension in Pembrokeshire: 5.9 MWp
• Port Farm in Sussex: 34.7 MWp
• Molehill in Kent: 18.0 MWp
• Horam in Sussex: 8.1 MWp
• Castle Combe in Wiltshire: 15.3 MWp
• Gloucester in Gloucestershire: 28.3 MWp
• Wrockwardine in Telford and Wrekin: 10.5 MWp

“In the first quarter of 2015 we faced a very challenging program due to the nature of the projects.
